Toyota passes Ford, DaimlerChrysler in U.S. sales

July marked the first time that Toyota sold more cars in the U.S. than Ford. Toyota has also outsold DaimlerChrysler year to date in the U.S. market.

July was a bad month for US auto sales, however, Toyota and Honda found a way to increase sales and market share.
